the other night i was listening to the avey tare/kria brekken record before bed and it gave me neat dreams.
i started wondering what our songs would be like backwaters.

here's one now just fer fun.

in other news:

i'm way excited about this fellow in town that plays under the name 'dragging an ox through water'

i saw him a couple weeks back with href="http://www.nlazer.com/valet">valet(who was also awesome) it was one of my favorite shows i've seen in a long while.

his music made so many idea bubbles form

it also tugged the heart skinnies.

if he were a grill i'd be his

george foreman.

we're playing with he and jamie stuart (of xiu xiu) soon.

i'm way excited!

super nice new friends of ours.

they make equally pretty/epic music.

makes me imagine colorful strings on nails in nice patterns.

and as always

inside voices

they're some of our best pallies in the world.

they're recording a full length album right now.

john g has been in the woods a lot lately, i think he's going crazy.... which of course should make for an awesome record!

oh oh oh also-

remember the house w/ the attic john and i recorded/lived in for several months.

we moved out and another band called morning teleportation moved in.

i know that's probably not that uncommon in portland, but to me it's kind of like having the same first and last name or being from idaho falls- i immediately assume we're already friends.

another reason to be fond before hearing a band...

anyway i really liked their set at holocene the other night. i'm not typically into a band that leads with their collective krautch, but they were interesting and energetic and overall perdy great live.
